Day one of Chancellorsville was played out at Partizan this year. For the battle we used a figure ratio of 1:80 making our wargame regiments the equivalent of a brigade. We had three Union players & four Confederates.

The game opens when the Confederates under the command of Jackson advance out of the wilderness at Hawkin's farm & fire on the unsuspecting Union forces on their right flank. Worried looks by the Union Commander as the Reb's check the range.

After a brave fight the Union left gives way to fire power, but on the right Jackson manages to mass his forces on the Union centre right. After a hard pounding the Union position is finally taken with the bayonet. The Union forces break & run losing their commander in the process.
